Pocket book of children's rights

Home > Resources for Rights Respecting Schools > Resources > Pocket book of children’s rights

This 28-page booklet uses colourful illustrations and age-appropriate language to help children learn about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It is very popular with children and teachers, and is suitable for the classroom and at home with parents.

We asked children to help us design the Pocket Book of Children’s Rights and they chose an illustrator to help bring children’s rights to life. Children also helped us make sure that the language we used was as child-friendly and accessible as possible.

With 20 full colour illustrations the pocket book is particularly popular with children and teachers in primary schools. RRSA schools often give one book to each child to help them learn about the articles in an engaging way.
