This pack includes an in-depth look at displacement, taking a global perspective to examine the reasons why people leave their homes. This information is complemented by children’s stories and lesson plans for primary and secondary classes.
Forced to Flee was developed in 2018 and updated in 2022 with latest statistics.
It is a sequel to In Search of Safety, an education pack for UK schools that was published in 2016 and which helps teachers to explore with children and young people at school the growing levels of displacement around the world. In Search of Safety focuses on the effect of the crisis in Europe, while this follow-up resource puts the movement of people into a global and historical context.
