We are pleased to re-introduce a face-to-face audit workshop due to requests from infant feeding leads. Depending on demand for this training, further workshops will be considered in the future.
This workshop is aimed primarily at midwives and health visitors; if you are interested in support for auditing the neonatal standards please contact us to discuss.
The audit workshop is designed to support infant feeding leads and other key workers to audit the care their service provides in relation to infant feeding and relationship building against the Baby Friendly Initiative standards. All aspects of the auditing process are considered, and the Baby Friendly audit tools are used to enable participants to explore issues of sampling, interviewing, scoring, presentation and interpretation of results, and action planning to improve care and maintain progress.
Participants at the audit workshops are expected to have attended the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative course in Breastfeeding and Relationship Building, have a good understanding of how to provide effective care and support for breastfeeding mothers, but are not expected to have significant experience of audit.
We are currently unable to conduct face-to-face training due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic and will be running our courses virtually. Please see our courses page for important information on virtual training, including technological requirements, course availability and booking.
For any queries, please contact the Baby Friendly office at firstname.lastname@example.org
For those who prefer to learn at their own pace and in their own environment, we will also launch e-learning to support with auditing. For more details please visit the e-learning for audit page.
