Home > Launchpad Project Conclusion

After four years Child Rights Launchpad is set to wind down activity and close in April.

Launchpad was part of a four year legacy project following the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and since 2014 we have been successfully working to reach children in all areas of Scotland with knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The next Commonwealth Games, the 2018 Gold Coast Games, is due to begin in April and as we hand the baton over to Australia we will close the platform in Scotland. We plan to keep the spirit of Launchpad alive within the Rights Respecting Schools Award and use the content within the game to create new resources that schools across the UK and beyond can use.

Over the last four years the game has successfully helped thousands of children across Scotland learn about their rights. However, the project has now reached a natural end to its cycle and over the next few months we will wrap up activity. Launchpad users will still be able to access and use the platform until the end of April.

We are sorry to see Launchpad go but look forward to developing and sharing more resources to help young people learn about their rights in the future.
