Reflect on your Rights Respecting journey and plan future school development.

Explore ways of developing and embedding your rights respecting practice and discover practical ways to meet the RRSA standards to be ready for your Gold: Rights Respecting accreditation.

Achieving Gold aims to deepen your understanding of rights respecting values and global citizenship. You will have the opportunity to explore key outcomes at Gold and share good practice. It is suitable for strategic leads in schools that have achieved the second stage of the Award, Silver: Rights Aware, and are working towards the final stage of the Award, Gold: Rights Respecting.

Objectives are:

  • To deepen your understanding of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • To develop your knowledge and understanding of:
  1. Equity, dignity and wellbeing
  2. Pupil voice and participation
  3. Global citizenship and sustainable development in the context of a Gold: Rights Respecting School.
  • To review and develop your planning for Gold.
  • To become confident about the accreditation process.

 

Course duration: 3 hours (1:30 – 4:30pm)

 

Cost: Two training places are included in your annual membership fee.
If your school is not a current member, training is charged at ÂŁ210 per participant.
If you are unable to attend please cancel your place through Eventbrite.

 

Platform: Sessions will take place online, via Microsoft Teams.
You will not need to download any special software to access, you will be able to join the session through your web browser.
Do ensure you have access to a working camera and microphone as all our training is interactive.
