Home > Strengthening Global Citizenship

Global learning and the promotion of global citizenship should follow naturally as part of becoming Rights Respecting. This course aims to strengthen your understanding and approach by offering clarity about global citizenship linked to rights.

You will strengthen and deepen your understanding of global citizenship from a rights and social justice perspective and explore various practical ways to further develop global citizenship in your setting. You will share your practice and we will look at examples from Rights Respecting Schools across the UK as well as sharing some activities to support you in discussing global issues in the classroom and in facilitating your pupils to plan and run rights-based advocacy campaigns.

This course is suitable for RRSA coordinators, perhaps accompanied by your Eco Schools, Green Flag or Fairtrade coordinator.
