Should we go for the Gold Award?

A guide for services preparing for re-assessment

Home > Accreditation > Achieving Sustainability: Health Services > Achieving Sustainability: Should we go for the Gold Award?

This infosheet supports services to decide when to go for an Achieving Sustainability assessment, leading to the Gold Award.

UNICEF UK’s Achieving Sustainability standards are designed to help services to embed Baby Friendly care in their workplace for the long term. Services that have achieved full Baby Friendly accreditation are eligible to be assessed against these standards at their next scheduled re-assessment. If the service meets all of the criteria, it will then be accredited as a Gold Baby Friendly service. This infosheet explains the Gold Award, when services are eligible to go for Gold and how the Achieving Sustainability assessment will work.
