Pupil voice is at the heart of becoming Rights Respecting.

This course aims to explore Article 12 in more depth and to support you in deepening and broadening the ways in which the voices and opinions of children and young people have a meaningful impact on the life of your school community and on decision making. You will explore various practical ways of achieving this by hearing good practice from colleagues and insights gained from our team’s work with schools across the UK. It is suitable for RRSA coordinators and other colleagues with a role in facilitating pupil voice.

Objectives are:

  • To deepen awareness and understanding of pupil participation in in the context of Article 12 and other relevant rights in the CRC.
  • To share good practice to strengthen pupil participation as part of the RRSA journey.
  • To provide practical ideas to develop your work around pupil voice and participation.

 

Course duration: 1.5 hours (1.30 – 3pm) or (4.00 – 5:30pm)

 

Cost: Two training places are included in your annual membership fee.
If your school is not a current member, training is charged at £210 per participant.
If you are unable to attend please cancel your place through Eventbrite.

 

Platform: Sessions will take place online, via Microsoft Teams.
You will not need to download any special software to access, you will be able to join the session through your web browser.
Do ensure you have access to a working camera and microphone as all our training is interactive.
