Why we’re working together

The luxury British footwear and accessories retailer, Kurt Geiger is partnering with Unicef UK this holiday season to help bring hope to children around the world.

Unicef works in over 190 countries and is the world’s leading organisation working for children in danger. With the support of Kurt Geiger, Unicef can reach the most vulnerable children and deliver on our commitments to children in line with Unicef’s five goal areas where every child; survives and thrives, learns, is protected from violence and exploitation, lives in a clean and safe environment, and has an equitable chance in life.

Driving positive change has always been an important motivation for Kurt Geiger and is the driving force behind their “Spead the rainbow and be kind” campaign – which endeavours to promote kindness, joy, inclusivity and hope.

What we’re doing

Today, as the lives of children everywhere are being impacted by the effects of coronavirus, access to flexible, unrestricted funding has never been more important. Kurt Geiger has committed to donating a charitable contribution to Unicef UK which will go towards the Regular Resources fund. Regular Resources are unearmarked contributions from partners given without restriction so that Unicef UK can allocate them as needed. Kurt Geiger’s donation will help to transform the lives of children and families around the world.

What we could achieve

Kurt Geiger’s donation to Unicef’s Regular Resources could fund:

12,000

children to continue their education

in times of emergency and conflict with the School-In-A-Box kits

1,520

girls with reusable sanitary pads

to give them the privacy and dignity to carry on with their lives and education during menstruation

1,505

health workers with protective equipment

to help keep them safe from disease

UNICEF’s life-changing work helps to protect and provide children with immediate and long-term support. We are proud to partner with them and we hope that our contribution will help them help others in a truly impactful way.
