and High Profile Supporters
UNICEF UK is privileged to have a long history of support from its ambassadors and high profile celebrity supporters, starting with Danny Kaye in 1954 and including such influential names as Audrey Hepburn and Peter Ustinov.
There are three types of high profile supporters:
Goodwill Ambassadors support UNICEF’s work globally and are appointed by UNICEF Headquarters in New York.
UNICEF UK Ambassadors promote UNICEF’s work within the UK, and often globally. They have shown a commitment to UNICEF through continued and consistent support over a number of years.
High Profile Supporters support our work within the UK, and sometimes globally. All of them have been appointed because they have demonstrated a commitment to UNICEF UK’s mission.
