Despite recent progress, only one in five HIV positive pregnant women in poor countries has access to the treatment needed to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT).

G8 leaders promised to contribute substantially towards the goal of universal provision of PMTCT programmes by 2010. Our estimated cost to reach this target is US$ 1.5 billion. Take action now to ensure that promise is kept.
