We believe that sport has the power to change children’s lives and we're working to ensure that every child has the right to play.
Sport and play are a crucial part of every child’s life. By taking part in sport, children learn to develop self-confidence, motivate themselves and lead active lifestyles. It’s therefore crucial that sport is safe for children and Team Unicef is committed to making sport safer for all children around the world through the International Safeguards for Children in Sport
We also use sport as a tool to shine a spotlight on children’s rights and to help raise valuable donations for our work with children, through events like Soccer Aid.
In 2015, sport continues to be big news for Unicef. Amongst others, we’ve already had support from Andy Murray and the England Footballer’s Foundation and now as Official Race Charity for the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, we will see our very own Unicef branded boat sail around the world to support our work to keep children safe.
With the help of our partnerships with sports organisations, celebrity supporters and most importantly, you, Team Unicef is bigger than ever before. Keep your eyes peeled for more to come.
