About our team

We’re a team of over 300 people who are mostly based in our London office in Stratford. We also have UNICEF Scotland colleagues working at our office in Edinburgh, with many of our team based across the UK.

We support hybrid and flexible ways of working, helping colleagues balance where and how they work while staying connected as one team.

Our teams are organised into directorates, bringing together ambitious and talented people who work together to make a difference for children.

What our teams do

The Chief Executive’s Office supports the Chief Executive in leading UNICEF UK, providing strategic oversight, governance, and organisational coordination to deliver the organisation’s mission for children.

The office works across the organisation and with the Board of Trustees to align priorities, strengthen leadership, and ensure effective decision-making. It plays a central role in connecting teams, driving organisational performance, and enabling UNICEF UK to operate with clarity, focus, and impact.

As part of the wider UNICEF global network, the Chief Executive’s Office helps ensure UNICEF UK is aligned to global priorities and contributes effectively to outcomes for children worldwide.

Our teams are: the Chief Executive Team, the Executive (Leadership) Team, and members of the Board.

Our Public and Partnerships Engagement teams bring the UK public (you) and our partners closer to UNICEF UK’s mission for children. These are the colleagues who inspire support, amplify UNICEF UK’s voice, and turn passion into action.

Working together, we build powerful partnerships and deliver impactful campaigns, from major events such as Soccer Aid for UNICEF and collaborations with global brands, to lasting relationships with long term committed supporters. Every activity helps to create brighter futures for children.

Our teams are: Ambassador Relations, Corporate Partnerships, Creative Content, Foundation Partnerships, Internal Communications, Marketing, Media Relations and PR, Organic Social, Philanthropy, Soccer Aid, Special Events, Strategic Communications, and Supporter Care.

Our Influence and Impact Directorate brings together five dedicated teams focused on advancing children’s rights and shaping better outcomes for every child.

Guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we mobilise partners, influence decision‑makers and drive initiatives that deliver real, lasting change for children across the UK and around the world. From safeguarding and youth participation to policy shaping, programme impact and community partnerships, every team plays a vital role in ensuring children’s rights are respected, protected and fulfilled.

Our teams are: Baby Friendly Initiative, Campaigns and Mobilization, Child Friendly Cities and Communities, Children’s Rights & Sport, Domestic Policy and Advocacy, International Policy & Advocacy, International Programme Impact, Partnership Research & Assurance, Political Affairs, Programme Funding Operations, Programme Travel Security Advice, Research and Evaluation, Rights Respecting Schools, Safeguarding, Scotland Office, and Youth Voice & Influence.
