UNICEF UK Annual Report

Every child is born ready to learn, play, wonder and thrive. And when conditions are right, childhood can be a time of joy and possibility.

In 2025, the world faced growing pressures: conflict, climate shocks, global instability. These challenges continue to shape the conditions in which children grow and develop.

UNICEF exists to build a better world for every child. And last year, we worked harder than ever alongside communities, our partners and supporters to do just that.

Together, we worked to make the world ready for children so that every child can grow up healthy, safe, learning and able to unleash their full potential.

Our goal? Making childhood unstoppable.

What did your support help us achieve in 2025?

In 2025, UNICEF UK raised £146 million to support children in the UK and around the world.

This funding helped UNICEF and our local partners respond to emergencies in more than 100 countries and reach tens of millions of children with life-saving support.

We also worked with communities and governments in many countries to strengthen health and education systems, making sure children have the building blocks for long-term opportunity.

Our work in the UK in 2025

In the UK, our advocacy efforts were instrumental to the UK government abolishing the two-child benefit cap—a landmark move set to lift a million children out of poverty.

We continued putting children’s rights at the heart of school life and local policy development through our Rights Respecting Schools Award and Child Friendly Cities and Communities programme.

And we provided more than 600,000 newborns and their families with compassionate feeding support through our Baby Friendly Initiative.
