Assemblies Programme

Introduce and explore the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child with young people aged 11 and upwards with this programme of ten assembly presentations and accompanying teachers booklet.

Assemblies can be a fantastic way to introduce what rights are and why they are important to new audiences. We recommend using this resource as your school begins its rights respecting journey.

The collection of multimedia PowerPoint presentations is designed to be used sequentially with each assembly building on learning gained through the previous.

A booklet accompanies this programme providing a guide for the presenting teacher, with extra background knowledge so they can deepen their understanding of children’s rights in practice. We recommend reading the booklet before embarking on the assembly programme.
