The UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) welcomes the participation from the UK Government at today’s Global COVID-19 Summit – a much needed platform to end the pandemic. Continued efforts to extend COVID-19 vaccine coverage are vital to protect everyone, everywhere from COVID-19.

We call on the UK Government to urgently provide additional funding to the international COVID-19 response at next month’s G7 leaders’ summit.

Until we end the pandemic everywhere, essential services for children like routine immunisation and education will continue to be disrupted.
