How can I help Venezuela?

Two powerful earthquakes struck north-central Venezuela on 24 June 2026, causing widespread destruction in densely populated Caracas and surrounding areas. Thousands of people have been killed or injured.

UNICEF estimates that 1.8 million people, including 680,000 children, now need urgent humanitarian support.

When emergencies like this happen, it can feel overwhelming and hard to know how to help. But there are practical ways you can support children and families in Venezuela.

With your support, we can deliver life-saving assistance, protect children and help communities begin to rebuild. Here are some of the ways you can make a difference:

1. Donate to our appeal

The best way you can support children and families impacted by the earthquakes in Venezuela is by donating to our appeal.

UNICEF is continuing to assess the situation and will scale up activities in response to needs. The immediate response will prioritise:

  • Ensuring access to safe, clean water
  • Supporting local health services
  • Supporting children with psychosocial support and minimising any disruption to learning

UNICEF has been working in Venezuela since 1967 supporting children, with the help of supporter donations and partners.

Please help us reach more children by donating to our Venezuela Earthquake Appeal.
