OutRight 2026-2027
Learning Spaces

We’re so pleased that you and your group are joining us for OutRight this year. We have an exciting learning journey planned for you, exploring learning spaces and considering how children’s rights can be protected in these spaces, all around the world.

We hope that this year’s campaign will support children and young people to think about rights in an interconnected way, considering how places that we learn, such as schools, not only provide access to the right to education, but connect to many other rights too. We’ll go on to see just how important safe learning spaces are for all children, thinking about how we can take action to ensure rights are accessible and protected.

To get you started, both Issy, who manages the campaign, and actor and presenter Cel Spellman have recorded a Welcome video. We have also put together a short PowerPoint presentation that introduces this year’s learning journey to your group.

Once you’ve introduced the campaign, you can use our Facilitator Pack, and the Activity PowerPoints to deliver the learning activities and the campaign action in your setting.

Support for you:

We understand that this theme may not be one that not everyone is familiar with. Luckily, we have our team of experts at UNICEF UK ready to support you on your learning journey, so you feel confident and comfortable completing OutRight in your setting. You can find a comprehensive background reading section in the Facilitator Guides, and a brand new support hub below to dip in and out of.

Feedback:

As usual, we’ll open the survey for feedback in May 2027.

Next steps:

You’ll find all the resources you need to complete OutRight below. You can work through these whenever they work in your setting, but this year we have provided a suggested order to ensure that children and young people get the most from the learning journey. You’ll also find guidance documents to refer to throughout the year and the dates of our three support workshops.

Resources to Download

Use these PowerPoint presentations alongside the guidance above to run the activities.

We have provided a range of resources so your group can speak out on children’s rights and become the best change makers they can be. Please feel free to use whichever resources are relevant to your setting.
